"A good way to quickly get up to speed with today's practices for lightweight development."

Project tune up

Has your software development project stalled? Are you missing deadlines? Too many bugs? If so, your project might need a tune up. The goal of a project tune up is to improve the productivity of the engineering team and enable it to be more responsive to the needs of the business. One of our experienced consultants  will review and evaluate your application's architecture and code, your development process, the build and test system and the skills of the development team. We will identify areas for improvement including:

  • Anti-patterns and code smells
  • Code that incorrectly uses frameworks such as Hibernate and Spring
  • Inefficient and wasteful development practices
  • Gaps in the knowledge of the team
  • Problems with the build and test environment
  • Latent problems that impact testability and maintainability

We will create a plan for addressing the issues that covers both short-term solutions to prevent the problems from getting worse as well as longer-term solutions to improve the application's architecture and code, the development process and team's overall productivity. We can then work with your team to implement the solutions that will keep your project running smoothly.
