Led by Chris Richardson, hands-on architect
and author of POJOs in Action, we are team of expert
software developers. We have a deep knowledge of enterprise
Java technologies and wrote the book on building application
with POJOs, Spring and Hibernate. We also developed Cloud
Tools, which is an open-source framework for deploying and
testing Java EE applications on Amazon EC2. Read on to find out how we
can help you test and deploy your applications using Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud
(EC2) and other Amazon web services.
What is Amazon EC2?
Amazon EC2 is virtualized computing environment that
provides servers on-demand. By using a web service API, you
can launch and terminate Linux servers to meet your changing
computing needs. Launching multiple servers only takes a
couple of minutes. With Amazon EC2 you have access to large
amounts of computing power with no upfront investment in
hardware. You simply pay $0.10-$0.80 per-server per-hour.
Amazon EC2 can be used for both development and
production. With EC2, you can, for example, quickly set up
cluster for performance testing and tuning - no more
scavenging for hardware. It's also great for a production
environment. You can launch your application with a minimal
budget and quickly add or remove servers to match the load.
No large upfront investment, no delays in acquiring
hardware.
Amazon EC2 is one of several web services provided by
Amazon. Other web services that are especially useful for
enterprise applications include Simple Storage Service (S3),
Simple Queuing Service (SQS) and Simple DB (SDB). Like
Amazon EC2, these highly scalable services are pay-per-use
and so don't incur an investment.
How we can help?
You can use
Cloud Tools, our open-source framework for quickly and
easily deploying Java and Grails applications on Amazon EC2.
Please fill-in the form below if you want to participate in
the alpha test for a new sophisticated version of Cloud
Tools that includes monitoring and automated management.
We can help you quickly get started with Amazon EC2 and
other Amazon web services. We offer a one-day jumpstart
class in using Amazon web services that will enable you to
quickly come up to speed. We can help you migrate your Java
EE or Grails application to Amazon EC2. We can also work
with you to setup test and production environments on Amazon
EC2.
